Head Trauma mainly include three conditions: concussion,
contusion and
Permanent neurological deficit resulting in inability to perform at least 3 activities of daily living as confirmed by a neurological
specialist.
 
Caused by a violent blow to the head, resulting in transient or prolonged unconsciousness with or without impairment of higher mental functions or brainstem functions
For example, violent shaking of head, fall from high aptitude
Absence of wound
A head injury of sufficient force to bruise the brain
More severe than brain concussion
The bruising of the brain will often involve the surface of the brain and cause an extravasation of blood
Usually will cause permanent neurological deficit
A wound usually can be seen. Cerebral hemorrhage and cerebral edema are sometimes present.
