- Direct contact with contaminated blood
- Transfusion of contaminated blood or blood product
- Sexual contact
- Mother to infant transmission at or around the time of delivery
  - Loss of appetite, tiredness, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache and fever
- In more severe cases, there may be yellow coloring of the eyes of dark urine
- There may be no symptoms at all
  - 10% will become hepatitis B carrier
- 25% will die of liver cancer or liver cirrhosis
  - Receive hepatitis B vaccination
- Avoid direct contain of blood or non-sterile syringe
- Practise safe sex
- Avoid sharing of toothbrushes, razors and other objects that may be contaminated
with blood
  - All people who age 0 or upper
